Product Info and Specs
The first Moddog product after a long night of inactivity couldn't really have a different name. After 3 years since the first drawings the mod is finally ready to break the shadow of the night.
Let's start with the general specs: Aurora is an AIO Boro mod, fully mechanical with 18650 Battery, sized 74.5*51.75*24 mm.
Aurora comes with a premium home made packaging which includes all the tools needed to dismantle and run maintenance of the mod.
Being mechanical maintenance is seldom required, however we like the possibility of dismantling all the mod components, being able to clean them, repolish the contact surfaces etc.
Safety is also ensure thanks to the brilliant and super easy locking mechanism implemented in the mod. You can simply rotate by 90° the button and the C silver plate won't be closing the circuit anymore.
The top plate and the boro nut are machined in Italy with premium grade stainless steel, finely sandblasted and brushed to obtain a nice clean finish and smooth thread. The Moddog logo is deep engraved on the top plate.
The moisture that builds up around the boro tank, and any leaks are prevented to contact the wood by a thin anodized aluminium case. The case is also branded by a laser marking.
The mod features in-house made in 999 solid silver contacts and textured with the Aurora logo. The bottom plate has a smart features that helps the springy action of the plate by adding a small silicone pad in a 3D printed frame. That pad is acting like a small and effective thin spring ensuring a good contact on the battery. The correct way to preserve this mechanism is to put the battery in the mod always by the bottom side and then push the upper side in.The button is made by the same wood of the body and it's very responsive with a minimal throw for a pleasant user experience.
The wood is machined in house and finished by Danish oil and wax.
